וַיִּהְי֣וּ עֹשִׂ֔ים גּ֥וֹי גּ֖וֹי אֱלֹהָ֑יו וַיַּנִּ֣יחוּ ׀ בְּבֵ֣ית הַבָּמ֗וֹת אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשׂוּ֙ הַשֹּׁ֣מְרֹנִ֔ים גּ֥וֹי גּוֹי֙ בְּעָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֛ר הֵ֥ם יֹשְׁבִ֖ים שָֽׁם׃
אָבער איטלעך פֿאָלק פֿלעגט אױך מאַכן זײַנע אײגענע געטער, און זײ האָבן זײ אַװעקגעשטעלט אין די הײַזער פֿון די בָמות װאָס די שומרונים האָבן געמאַכט; איטלעך פֿאָלק אין זײערע שטעט װאָס זײ זײַנען דאָרטן געזעסן.
